Evaluation of qualifications

Expert in Wound Care (treatment of chronic skin lesions). The Master enables participants to work as expert professionals in the integrated and multidisciplinary management of skin le-sions. The qualification certifies advanced clinical, organizational and educational skills in the prevention, assessment and treatment of skin lesions, according to national and European standards, forming expert professionals capable of integrating scientific evidence, innovative technologies and educational approaches oriented to self-care.

Clinical competence:
• Acquire the anatomical and pathophysiopathological knowledge necessary for the assess-ment and treatment of acute and chronic skin ulcers.
• Develop the ability to manage the patient with skin lesions from a systemic point of view, integrating clinical, nutritional and therapeutic aspects.
• Apply techniques and local wound treatment protocols according to the most recent scien-tific evidence and guidelines.
• Evaluate the evolution of skin lesions through validated tools and scales, documenting the healing process.

Organizational competence:
• Acquire skills to carry out consultancy activities in the corporate field regarding the selec-tion, evaluation and acquisition of devices and dressings.
• Be able to design, implement and monitor operational procedures and clinical-care path-ways in the field of wound care.
• Understand the methodology of epidemiological investigations and acquire the ability to analyze and interpret data relating to the incidence and management of skin ulcers.

Educational competence:
• Develop teaching and communication skills to carry out training and updating activities addressed to healthcare personnel in the field of wound care.
• Be able to prepare training programs, teaching materials and tools for the evaluation of learning related to the care of skin lesions.
