The Master's program is open to applicants who hold an academic qualification deemed consistent with the program's objectives by the Admissions Committee. In particular, eligible applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:
- a second-cycle Master's degree awarded under Italian Ministerial Decree (D.M.) No. 270/2004;
- a Specialist Degree awarded under Italian Ministerial Decree (D.M.) No. 509/1999;
- a degree awarded under the Italian university regulations in force prior to Ministerial Decree (D.M.) No. 509/1999;
- an equivalent qualification awarded by a foreign institution and recognized as suitable for admission to the Master's program.
Students who do not hold Italian citizenship must provide a certificate demonstrating Italian language proficiency at the B2 level or demonstrate an equivalent level of proficiency during a preliminary interview prior to admission.

The admission procedure consists of an assessment of applicants' qualifications by the Admissions Committee.
The following qualifications will be evaluated:
- the applicant's academic qualification and final degree grade;
- any doctoral degree (PhD) held by the applicant;
- the applicant's curriculum vitae, with particular emphasis on professional and educational experience relevant to the fields of history and cultural heritage;
- scientific and/or educational publications, to be submitted in electronic format (maximum of five publications);
- skills and experience in the management and development of websites, digital platforms, and social media.

The professional paths to be developed within the courses include: the design of cultural projects; computer science for historians; research, creation, and dissemination of audiovisual products; software, protocols, and management of digital archives; digital publishing; and historical heritage tourism. More generally, the program will also introduce topics related to living history and reenactments, narrative museums, creative technologies, web content management, and digital librarianship.

The Master’s program provides tools to analyze the history of a territory and/or community, to bring out its intangible heritage of memories, and to translate them into practical initiatives for public awareness through installations, photographic exhibitions, geographic itineraries, theme parks, and historical reenactments. The program examines methods for disseminating historical discourse through the new means offered by the development of mass media and new technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their creative skills in presenting history by applying them to the production of a website, an app, a video game, a graphic novel, a historical documentary, or any other medium that can contribute to the dissemination of historical knowledge.
