The withdrawal from studies or from the scholarship only is an irrevocable act.
It is possible to permanently interrupt the PhD programme by opting for the withdrawal from studies. It is also possible to irrevocably withdraw from receiving the scholarship only.
A request for withdrawal from studies may be submitted at any time of the year. Submitting the withdrawal request requires the payment of a €16 virtual revenue stamp. If you are receiving a scholarship, it will be paid until the last day of the month preceding the month in which the withdrawal is submitted.
How to submit the withdrawal request:
To withdraw from the PhD programme, you must:
- Send an email from your Unimore institutional email account to the PhD Office informing them of your intention to withdraw.
- The PhD Office will issue a charge of €16 corresponding to the virtual revenue stamp. The amount will be visible under the “Taxes” section in your personal Esse3 area. The payment must be made via the PagoPA system. For further information, please refer to the page at www.unimore.it/it/PagoPA.
- Send, again via your Unimore institutional email, the completed and signed withdrawal form, a front-and-back copy of a valid ID document, and the payment confirmation of the revenue stamp.
Once the documents have been received and the payment has been verified in Esse3, the PhD Office will proceed to close your academic career due to withdrawal.
You may withdraw from receiving the PhD scholarship at any time during the year, while continuing your PhD studies. The scholarship will be paid until the last day of the month preceding the month in which the withdrawal is submitted.
How to submit the scholarship withdrawal request:
To withdraw from the scholarship only, you must:
- Send an email from your Unimore institutional account to the PhD Office informing them of your intention to withdraw, attaching the completed and signed scholarship withdrawal form and a front-and-back copy of a valid ID document.
Once the form has been received, the PhD Office will formalize the withdrawal from the scholarship and forward the necessary information to the University Payroll Office for the required administrative procedures.
