He is the legal representative of the University. He heads the Academic Senate and the Board of Directors. He monitors the operation and efficiency of University facilities and services. He ensures the teaching and research independence of the teaching staff and exercises disciplinary authority over the staff and students.

Board consisting of the Rector, the Heads of Faculties and the representatives of each of the scientific-disciplinary aggregations, 3 heads of Department and 3 student representatives. It is responsible for planning teaching and research activities and indicates the lines of development of the University.

dott. Stefano Ronchetti
Head of the central offices and services of the University. He guides, directs and controls technical-administrative staff. The post of Administrative Director is assigned by the Board of Directors at the proposal of the Rector.
Consultative Bodies with power of proposal
- Student Council
- Consisting of 14 elective members, at least one per Faculty, elected by the students and 9 lawful members. Ensures the participation of the students in University organisation. Expresses opinions on matters relating to the organisation and development of teaching, student services, student fees, and the right to study.
- Council of Technical-Administrative Staff
- Consisting of 21 members elected by the Technical-Administrative staff. Makes proposals for the optimisation of administrative procedures and staff management, expresses opinions on matters concerning staff: Permanent employees, staff training, three-year development plans as regards administrative and service organisation.
