Cultural and Leisure-Time Activities

Funding of cultural and social activities

Every year, the University provides funds for cultural and social initiatives relating to the University and proposed by the students. Contributions are provided according to Law nr. 429 dated 3 August 1985 "Rules for the management of contributions pursuant to art. 11 of Law nr. 1551 of 18 December 1951, paid by university and high school students".

Sports Activities

For more details, students can contact the University Sports Centre (CUS). Courses organised in the past are – aerobic dancing, step, aero step, body sculpture, fit ball, gymnastics with music, artistic gymnastics, volleyball, basketball. Inter-faculty tournaments are also organised – soccer, 5-a-side soccer, volleyball, basketball, beach volleyball, giant slalom, snowboard, tennis. Competitive activities include basketball, volleyball, 5-a-side soccer, and women’s athletics. Special external agreements exist for swimming, fencing, triathlon, sports climbing, underwater activities, body building, martial arts, aerobics, artistic gymnastics, alpine skiing and snowboard.

University Choir

The University Students and Cultural Association "Coro dell'Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia", organised in 2001 and finally established in 2002, was created to favour the aggregation and socialisation of University students and the growth of culture in the area through vocal and instrumental music performances.
